The Westmark story begins with our founder and president, Chris Lundy. A passion for construction runs in the family, with his grandfather being a steel fabricator, and his uncle a European-trained cabinet maker. From an early age, Chris started working with the tools, and developed an affinity for the industry. In his school career, he turned his focus towards business, building on his existing foundation of construction industry expertise.

Our mission is to provide creative, cost and time effective solutions in collaboration with clients.

"Once an important village site of the Snuneymuxw for thousands of years Stlilnup (Departure Bay) is one of the most archaeologically significant places on Vancouver Island. Learning about and understanding this has guided the planning and design philosophy of LEGASEA since the inception of the project. One outcome of this can be found in the foundation of the building which is under construction right now. Highly engineered the monolithic thickened-edge raft slab foundation is the result of an all day non-stop pour. This solution mitigated 95% of the excavation work that would have been necessary were the foundation to have been a traditional footings and walls one; this is an important detail because minimizing the disturbance of these sacred lands is central to the Snuneymuxw People’s beliefs which I respect. By working closely with the Snuneymuxw leaders, archaeologists, engineers, and architects the team settled on this solution. Patience, cooperation, empathy, and creativity from all is to credit. I’m thankful to everyone who has worked hard on this mission so far."
